Hi there! My name is Catrina and after years of talking the talk as an Environmental Science teacher, I decided to walk the walk. I’m an adjunct professor and really wanted to find a way to make our family less susceptible to uncertainties of part-time working. With the current political and environmental climate I want to be pro-active instead of reactive. So I decided to start this blog and discuss my trails and tribulations of trying to homestead in an urban, sub-tropical region. I hope that you enjoy the ride.
I live in South Florida, with my husband and three kids. I also have a dog, two cats, and a guinea pig. I hope to expand my brood to include chickens, but I am taking it slow.
